  1. The Uniform

In almost any case, golf courses need men to wear collared shirts. Course managers may also allow modern golf shirts with a turtleneck collar, but they would prefer traditional cotton, microfiber or polyester golf shirts with collars.

Shirts with huge brand prints or icons, making the attire more casual than semi-formal or uniform, course managers may also ban.

Of course, golfers wearing sandos and cut-sleeved shirts will never be allowed inside thecourse.

  1. Pants

There are a great number of US golf courses that allow men to wear jeans, but not every golf course allows it. Instead, bring long cotton or polyester pants or pleated or flat-front shorts. These are allowed in almost any golf course nationwide.

Wearing stylishly-tattered jeans or faded-colored jeans is fashionably unethical. Jogging pants, jogging shorts and slacks are also prohibited by many golf courses.

  1. Socks

Despite its very minimal role, socks are very important when measuring golf performance. Golf socks come in a variety of styles. Golfers wearing shorts may wear ankle-length socks. Tube socks are also preferred. However, the socks must always complement the clothing.

Some golf courses will not allow cartoon or huge brand prints on the socks.

  1. Shoes

Course will prohibit anybody wearing football shoes in the course. Shoes with “soft” spikes are preferred. Many golf shoe manufacturers have products that guarantee stability and overall performance enhancement. As long as metal spiked shoes aren’t used in the field, pairs of shoes would be allowed.

However, do not even try to wear street shoes, boots and sandals inside the course.

  1. Hats

Certain head gear that appears appropriate with attire works best when wearing a cap or hat. Baseball hats, straw hats and visors are allowed inside the golf course.

Hats help golfers have good visibility, especially during a sunny game.

However, cowboy hats, dress fedora-style hats and other fashionable accessories may not be allowed.
