Eddie Pepperell just finished second at the Irish Open in May and some journalists find the golfer quite interesting. As his personal interests include philosopher and chronicler, he kept an online blog that talked about the failure, passion, nature and nurture and introversion-extroversion of golfers in the PGA.
Pepperell finds that golf has kept most players “close” to experiences in their surroundings. Pepperell even said:
“Modern sportspeople are geared up to being professionals from such a young age that they tend not to have other experiences. And even when a sportsperson is interesting, they’re often not very good at portraying it.”
If his words are true, Pepperell may be holding the key to re-ignite the international passion for golf once again.
